Scott Gold, II
Scott graduated lrom Warrior Run High School in 1962 and Penn State University in 1966. He began his teaching career at Oxford High School and volunteered as a coach for several years. In 1970, he was named head wrestling coach, a position that he still holds today. In 2010, Scott will be looking at his 400th win as a high school coach. His teams have won 18 Southern Chester County League titles and 11 District 1 team titles. He has coached 67 District 1 Champions, 47 PIAA State Qualifiers, 12 PIAA Medalists, and 2 PIAA State Champions. Scott has been President of the District 1 Coaches Association for eight terms and a member of the District Steering Committee for twenty-nine years. He retired from teaching in 2003 with thirty-seven years of service. Scott resides in Oxford with his wife Susan and in 2010 he will begin his fortieth year of coaching at Oxford H.S.
