Cole maintained a GPA of 3.948, ranking eighth of 214 seniors. He was Student Body President and was named first team academic all-state and a twice NHSCA Academic all-American. Cole's wrestling record included three state championships and a 118-8 dual record. He captained his team to its fourth state championship. Cole won the Cadet National Freestyle championship and has placed twice in the Junior National Championships. Cole worked with young children as a National Honor Society tutor and as a wrestling technician for youth programs for more than 10 years.
