Garrick Hall was destined for the Hall of Fame from the start. He began his coaching career as an assistant to Brad Jackson (Class of 2021) at East Ridge before assisting Roger Vandergriff (Class of 2016) at Hixson. Hixson High School was his home. Garrick compiled 401 dual meet victories including back to back State Dual Championships in 2009 and 2010. He added a traditional State Tournament Championship in 2014.

Garrick is a coach at his core also coaching football, track, high school and middle school. He started a kids club team, been a tournament director, been a regular volunteer at the Southern Scuffle and sat on the TSSAA Wrestling Rules Committee. The Chattanooga Times Free Press named Garrick the 2009 Wrestling Coach of the Year. He’s a multi time Region Coach of the Year, was inducted into the Hixson High School Hall of Fame in 2016 and now is a member of the 2026 National Wrestling Hall of Fame for the Tennessee Chapter!
