Frank “Shute” Jasper

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame’s Outstanding American Award recognizes individuals who have used the values learned through wrestling to achieve extraordinary success in other walks of life. Frank Jasper exemplifies those ideals.

A former wrestler at Coeur d’Alene High School and Pasco College, Jasper built an impressive career that spanned multiple professions. After becoming a certified Journeyman Ironworker, he pursued sports medicine studies at Eastern Washington University, where his wrestling background led to his iconic role as Brian Shute in the wrestling classic Vision Quest, written by Terry Davis, who was honored as an Outstanding American by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2025.

Jasper later earned a master’s degree in Oriental Medicine and founded Osani Holistic Health Care, dedicating more than 30 years to helping athletes and patients improve their health, recovery, and performance.

As a clinician, educator, speaker, and wrestling ambassador, Jasper has continued to serve the wrestling community through clinics, podcasts, national events, and mentoring opportunities.

His life reflects the enduring impact of wrestling’s core values: discipline, perseverance, service, and leadership.
