Robert Edelblute

For more than two decades, Robert Edelblute helped build Lakeland High School into one of Idaho’s most respected wrestling programs. A two-time Idaho state champion for Lakeland High School, Edelblute returned to his alma mater as a coach, serving as head coach from 2000 through 2021.

During his 22-year tenure, Lakeland consistently ranked among Idaho’s top programs, earning multiple state trophies and producing 31 state champions and 77 state placers. His leadership earned him 4A Coach of the Year honors in 2017.

Beyond wins and championships, Edelblute became known for developing young people through wrestling. His commitment to athlete growth, youth wrestling development, and mentorship created a lasting legacy that continues to impact Idaho wrestling today.
