·         Native of Roanoke, VA; 1988 graduate of William Fleming High School

·         2X All County Wrestling Champion as a high school competitor

·         1994 graduate of Virginia State University (Petersburg, VA)

·         Outstanding collegiate career, serving as team captain and helping team capture the 1991 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Conference Championship

·         8 years (1995-2003) - Columbia High School (Decatur, GA) - Head coach

·         18 years (2005-2023) - Southwest Dekalb (Decatur, GA) - Head coach

·         Coached 14 individual wrestlers to Georgia High School Association state championships

·         Currently serving (2024-present) as Coordinator for High School and Middle School wrestling in DeKalb County Schools

·         Authored the book “The Blindsided Champ”, chronicling how wrestling helped him overcome numerous adversities throughout his life, including growing up in foster care, and directed him to use the sport of wrestling to mentor young people facing similar circumstances

·         CEO of “We Are One”, an organization focused on supporting underserved communities through advocacy, political involvement and inspiring entertainment

·         Sought after motivational speaker
