Evan Hinebauch was a three-time Montana Class A state champion for Havre High in Havre, Montana, after being a state place-winner in the Class B-C state tournament as a freshman at Chinook High School in Chinook, Montana.

He lost only one match in his final two seasons, including an undefeated senior year, and helped establish Havre as the premier program in Class A wrestling and one of the top programs in all of Montana while also shining on the football field.
