Chad has had 110 state qualifiers 61 state place winners and 11 State champions. State dual finished in 2018- 2nd, 2019- 6th, 2020- 3rd, 2021- 2nd, 2022- 2nd, 2023- 6th, and 2025- 3rd. He started out with 20 wrestlers and two coaches and built the program to 82+ wrestlers and 6 contracted coaches along with 5 volunteers. His first year they won three meets and had one qualifier for the state tournament. From that time forward, the program never looked back.
Chad is very proud that his wrestlers graduate from high school and go on to attend college or go into the workforce. Chad and his coaching staff preach to their athletes to "chase our best wrestling rather than wins and focus on having full hearts and clear minds in order to find our best selves and succeed in spite of adversity, rather than fail because of it."
In the coming school year, Chad will be an Assistant Principal at Waukee Northwest. He and his wife Jami have two children Drew (20) and Isaac (19).
