Nate Carr Jr. was a three-time Georgia state high school champion for Jones County High School.

He had a career record prep record of 210-2, including 63-0 as a senior when he was also selected to the Georgia Wrestling Coaches Association Dream Team at 152 pounds.

Carr placed fifth at the National High School Coaches Association Junior National Championship to earn All-American honors while also being named Wrestling USA Magazine Georgia All-American.

His father, Nate Carr Sr., is a Distinguished Member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame while his younger brother, David Carr, was the Ohio, Midwest Region and National winner of the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award in 2018.
