Ella Murphey was a four-time Tennessee state champion for Harden Valley Academy in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Murphey was a finalist at the National Girls High School Recruiting Showcase and the Junior Folkstyle Nationals in 2024. She won the Southeast Junior Regionals while finishing fourth at the Super 32 and Junior Folkstyle Nationals in 2023. Murphey won Super 32 and Junior Folkstyle Nationals while finishing seventh in Junior Nationals in 2022.

Murphey will attend Oklahoma City University.
