Mike Bostick

  • Native of Tifton, Georgia


·        1969 graduate of Tift County High School; a standout on the mats for the Blue Devil wrestling teams,

          serving as team captain


·        4-year United States Navy veteran (1969-73) serving aboard naval submarines out of San Diego, CA and

           New London, CT


·        1974 graduate of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) - A.S. degree in Business


·         41 years of experience and service to wrestling as one of the Georgia High School Association’s (GHSA)  

          most outstanding wrestling officials


·        Served as leader of the Sports Officials Association out of south Georgia for 35 years, serving as president, vice-president and secretary/assigner


·        A leader statewide in the recruitment and training of new officials in the sport of wrestling, especially in the south Georgia region


·        Has been a mainstay at GHSA’s state, sectional and area wrestling tournaments

·        A driving force in the continued growth and development of wrestling in south Georgia


·        Served as head official at over 250 regular season tournaments


·        31 years as a surveyor for Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), retiring in 2009 as a Location

     Engineer


·        Resides in Tifton, GA with wife Phyllis; adult children: Brandi, Nan, Kirbie
