George Ferree
George Ferree was a two-time Kentucky state champion, three-time state finalist and four-time state place-winner for Trinity High School in Louisville, Kentucky.
The youngest son of Tim and Dana Ferree, George was a multi-sport varsity athlete for the Shamrocks and was named the 2023 Kentucky High School Athletic Association Athlete of the Year.
In addition to his athletic success, George was equally accomplished in the classroom. He was a member of the National Honor Society and National Beta Club while graduating with a 4.0 cumulative GPA and being named First-Team Academic All-State by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association four consecutive years.
As a dedicated servant-leader, George served as a youth deacon at his church and volunteered as a youth wrestling coach for three years. He was elected and served as president of his senior class and graduated with 200+ hours of community service. For his senior capstone service project, George worked with a local food bank to organize a city-wide food drive in conjunction with his high school's football game against their rival, collecting over 13,000 pounds of food and $4,000.
His efforts were recognized by the Mayor of Louisville who issued a mayoral proclamation honoring his contribution to fighting hunger and food insecurity in the City of Louisville.
George also received the 2023 Ronald Reagan Leadership Medal from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute.
