Gabe Giampietro was a four-time Delaware state high school champion for Smyrna High School.

Giamietro was named Wrestler of the Year by the Delaware News Journal in 2022 after earning Outstanding Wrestler honors at the state tournament while becoming the 11th four-time champion in Delaware history.

He was a runner-up at the Beast of the East tournament in 2021 while also having a runner-up finish at the National High School Coaches Association Nationals and a third-place finish at the Walsh Iron Man tournament in 2019.

Giampietro was a Delaware Wrestling Alliance First-Team Academic All-State as a junior and senior and a Delaware Alliance Crown Trophy Academic Award winner. He was a 10-time Honor Roll member and received the Zane Q. Robinson Memorial Scholarship, presented for academics, community service and sportsmanship.
