Daniel Cardenas was a four-time Colorado state champion for Pomona High School in Arvada, Colorado.

First four-time state champion in school history and helped Pomona High School win four 5A state team titles.

Became second wrestler in state history to win four individual and four team titles.

Two-time Reno Tournament of Championships Outstanding Wrestler while also capturing a Fargo title and being a two-time finalist. Ironman champion while also being a two-time finalist and champion at Doc B tournament.

Also lettered in soccer and track, captaining the soccer team as a senior and placing 10th in the state 4x400 meter relay.
