Known to be one of the best wrestlers across the State of Idaho, Marissa wrestled for Caldwell High School finishing with a season record of 34—0. She became tournament champion at Tiger Grizz, Jaybird Memorial and Rollie Lane tournaments. Marissa earned the District III title and won State at 138 pounds. Marissa represented the United States of America in Oaxtepec, Mexico and returned with a Gold medal. Marissa was recruited to Oklahoma City University.
