Warren Deprenger
A native of Newton, Iowa, Warren DePrenger was a four-time Midwest Conference and NCAA qualifier for Cornell College.
One of the wrestling coaching pioneers in Washington state and he conducted many clinics and camps during the early years of Washington wrestling.
Warren started the wrestling programs at Mead High School and Clover Park High School. His teams at Clover Park placed third and seventh at the state tournament and had three state champions.
He left coaching to start Matman Wrestling Company, which has become one of the three leading wrestling equipment specialists in the United States. Matman supplied the Olympic uniforms for USA Wrestling teams from 1988 to 2000.
Warren is also a member of the Washington State Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame and the Cornell College Hall of Fame.
