Pat Alexander

Pat Alexander Mt. Si High School 1967-1976 Tumwater High School 1976-1994 Pat Alexander coaches at the high school level in Washington State for 27 years at Mt. Si and Tumwater high schools. During that time he coaches 4 state champions and 23 state place winners. He hosted the State AA Wrestling Tournament at Tumwater High School in 1978 and 1979. He currently serves as the 2A Tournament Manager at Mat Classic, the Washington State High School State Wrestling Championships. Pat has been an exemplary role model and inspiration to all who know him. Alexander also made great contributions to the growth of wrestling in Washington. He served as Vice President of the Washington State Wrestling Coaches Association; Kids Vice President and then State Chairman for the Washington Chapter of the United States Wrestling Federation. He also served on the USA Wresting Executive Board. The Washington State Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame program began in 1984 under the leadership of Pat Alexander, He served as Hall of Fame Chairman for the WSWCA for become the model for other sports establishing recognition programs. Pat's contributions to the sports have been recognized and honored by being named the National USWF Directors, Kids Man of the Year in 1981; The AA State Wrestling Coach of the Year in 1983; The USA Wrestling State Chairman Award-1984; The Dr. William Tomaras Award in 1988; and induction into the Washington State Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame in 1994. Pat Alexander has retired from teaching but continues to coach football at Tumwater High School and serves as one of the Coaching Standards Regional Facilitators for the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association. Pat lives in Tumwater with his wife Rebecca. Between the two they have five grown children; Kelly (Kip), Rebecca, Mary, Kathi and Grant. They spend all their free time spoiling their 8 grandchildren.
