Louisa Schwab served as the team captain of the Joliet West High School boys team as Illinois does not yet have sanctioned high school girls wrestling.

She was the 2019 Illinois Girls Freestyle state champion while also winning the Super 32 tournament and finishing third at Junior Nationals. Schwab was also a member of the undefeated Junior Women's National Dual team champion and earned All-Tournament team honors. She also won the Marines Western Regional and finished seventh at Women's Junior Nationals in Texas.

Schwab finished first at the Illinois Wrestling Coaches & Officials Association girls state tournament in 2018 while also reaching the finals of the Illinois Girls Freestyle state tournament.

In 2017, she finished first at the Cadet Nationals and the FloWrestling Girls Nationals, second at the IWCOA girls state tournament, and fifth at the Cadet Women's Nationals in Texas.
