Maxx Mayfield was a three-time Nebraska state champion for Lincoln East High School in Lincoln, Nebraska.

He had a perfect 56-0 record as a senior to finish with a career record of 205-7. Mayfield was a three-time team captain and helped his team win the state championship in 2018.

Mayfield was a three-time all-conference, all-city and all-state selection and won the 2018 National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Star event.

He was a two-time National High School Coaches Association All-American and multiple Fargo champion.

Mayfield was named academic all-state two times and was a four-year honor roll recipient and member of the National Honor Society.
