Mark Reiland

Mark Reiland won two state titles and was a four-time placer for Eagle Grove (Iowa) High School from 1984-1987.

Junior Greco-Roman World Team member in 1986 and Junior National Champion in Greco-Roman and freestyle in 1988 and 1989. Espoir National Champion in Greco-Roman and Freestyle in 1989.

He went on to the University of Iowa where he was a two-time All-American and NCAA champion in 1991.

He achieved excellence in coaching as well. Assistant coach at Iowa City West from 1992 to 1996 and head coach at Solon High School from 1997-99, compiling a 25-12-1 record. Head coach at Iowa City West from 1999-2018, compiling a 411-96 record. Five state dual titles and three state dual runner-up finishes and two traditional state tournament titles and five traditional state tournament runner-up finishes. Team won 14 Mississippi Valley Conference dual meet titles and 10 tournament titles. Coached 152 state qualifiers with 26 state champions and 95 state place-winners.
