Fritz Von Goering
Fritz von Goering was a street-tough kid from Chicago when he turned pro in 1950. He learned the business the hard way, getting tough lessons in the ring and in gyms while working out with some of the biggest names in the business. He traveled the country and faced some of the best pure wrestlers in history – men like Dick Hutton, Lou Thesz and Luther Lindsay. Fritz developed strong friendships with Bobby Managoff and Karl Gotch, learning the ropes and studying the history of the business. He won numerous regional titles in his 27-year career. About the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame, he once said, “When you honor any of us in this hall of fame, you honor the business – you honor us all. This is where the memories will live on.” Fritz lives in Campbell, California.
