Bob Kenny coached at Emmetsburg High School, Armstrong High School and Ringsted High School from 1998 to 2007.

He led his teams to eight team wrestling championships, winning traditional titles in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006 and dual titles in 2002 and 2003.

Prior to coaching at Emmetsburg, Kenny coached at Holbrook High School in Arizona, Maquoketa Valley High School, Osage High School and Estherville High School.

His teams combined for a 289-123-1 dual meet record and had 88 state qualifiers with 56 state place-winners, including 12 state champions and 24 state finalists.

Kenny wrestled for Osage High School and Buena Vista College.
